1. Acceptance

By using MotoPartPicker ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. The Service

MotoPartPicker provides motorcycle aftermarket parts compatibility information, community verification data, and multi-retailer price comparison. The Service is free for individual riders.

3. Compatibility Data Disclaimer

This is important: MotoPartPicker provides compatibility information sourced from community contributions, retailer data, and manufacturer specifications. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that any part will fit your specific motorcycle.

Always verify fitment before purchasing, especially for parts marked "Community Reported" or "No Data"
Mid-year revisions, regional variants, and previous modifications to your bike can affect compatibility
MotoPartPicker is not liable for parts that do not fit your motorcycle
Follow manufacturer installation instructions and all applicable safety guidelines

4. Affiliate Links

MotoPartPicker contains affiliate links to third-party retailers. When you click these links and make a purchase, we earn a commission (typically 5-7%). This is disclosed on every page containing affiliate links.

Affiliate relationships never influence our compatibility data, confidence scores, or the order in which parts or retailers are displayed. We show the lowest price first regardless of commission rate.

5. User Accounts

You may create an account to save builds, contribute verifications, and personalize your experience. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

6. Community Contributions

When you contribute compatibility verifications, install photos, or other content:

You retain ownership of your content
You grant MotoPartPicker a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use your contributions within the Service
Your contributions will be publicly associated with your display name
You represent that your contributions are accurate and based on your actual experience
You may delete your contributions at any time through your account settings

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Submit false or misleading compatibility data
Manipulate confidence scores or verification counts
Scrape data from MotoPartPicker for commercial purposes without permission
Impersonate other users or misrepresent your identity
Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others

8. Retailer Partnerships

MotoPartPicker offers partnership programs for retailers and manufacturers. Retailer partner terms are governed by a separate agreement. Consumer/rider use of the Service is governed by these Terms.

9. Intellectual Property

The MotoPartPicker name, logo, design system, and underlying technology are proprietary. The community-contributed compatibility database is a collective work. Individual contributions remain the property of their creators under the license granted in Section 6.

10. Limitation of Liability

MotoPartPicker is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

Parts that do not fit your motorcycle
Damage caused by installation of parts found through the Service
Inaccurate pricing or availability information
Service interruptions or data loss

Our total liability shall not exceed $100 or the amount you paid for the Service (which is $0 for riders), whichever is greater.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your personal data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.
